The UP Economics Society, The Philippine Wacoal Corporation and Gerry’s Grill, in cooperation with Ever Bilena and Universal Robina Corporation, bring you the most awaited high school chorale competition of the year, MUSIKAPELLA 2013:HimigngBagongHenerasyon. Dance to the chorale renditions of classic Original Filipino rock songsand watch as 14 different high schools all over the Metro battle it out for the crown on September 28, 2013 at the Aliw Theatre.
With the contest pieces “Hinahanap-hanap Kita” byRivermaya, “LimangDipang Tao” by Ryan Cayabyab, and “Alapaap” byEraserheads, Musikapella 2013 aims to promote the Philippines’ rich musical culture through upbeat renditions of local rock music favorites by talented high school chorale groups.
Participating schools are St. Scholastica’s College Manila, School of the Holy Spirit, PAREF Woodrose, Miriam College, Colegio de Sta. Rosa – Makati, St. Paul College – Pasig, St. Pedro Poveda College, Marist High School, PAREF Southridge School for Boys, Don Bosco Technical Institute Makati, Diliman Preparatory School, CP Garcia High School, School of Saint Anthony and Manila Science High School.
