When so much happens in this world, it is simply wonderful to know that there are good people out there. And when you come together, something more powerful than you can imagine makes this world a better place to live.
On May 21, 2016, established and emerging musicians from all over the country will come together to perform at Backyard Foodtruck Community, Dasmarinas Cavite from 6pm until 1am. These musicians: Juno Del Rosario, KA Antonio, Prince Gibson, Ulycorn, Kabanata, OTM, Lunademyel, Lasallian Pop Band, Alagad ng Pag Ibig, Starlight Replica will converge on an evening of sheer delight and emotion to help raise funds to support the operations and resource of #BookDrive2016 in bringing books, school supplies, medicines and other needs for the children in different institutions and indigent communities.
Presently, the #BookDrive2016 has weekly learning sessions for children left in the care of institutions from all over the country and children from mountainous and coastal areas wherein there is limited access to proper education. A number of institutions have benefited from this learning sessions including: Angel of Hope, Bahay ni San Rafael Home for Special Children, Brand New Day Ministry, Mother Teresa Spinelli’s Treasure, Bukid Kabataan, and Home of Joy. The areas that have been visited by the group include Casiguran, Aurora, Buscalan Village, Kalinga, and PIsapungan, Pampanga.
The advocate group, KREON who spearheaded #BookDrive2016, organized this fundraising event to raise funds and be able to sustain the project. Tickets for the event are priced at Php150.00 and may be bought at The Backyard Foodtruck Community, Sari – The Local Store and Café and Phoenix Gas Station – Dasmarinas Cavite.
Join them this Saturday while enjoying good food, good music, good vibe while supporting a good cause.
