PSA: Here Are The MRT And LRT Schedules For The Holidays

The Metro Rail Transit (MRT-3), Light Rail Transit-1 (LRT1), and Light Rail Transit-2 (LRT2) have all announced their operating schedules this Christmas season.

The MRT released the following schedule for December 16 to January 3:

North Avenue Station

Dec. 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30 and Jan. 2 and 3:

• The first train leaves at 4:40 a.m., while the last train departs at 9:10 p.m.

Dec. 24 and 31

• The first train leaves at 4:40 a.m., while the last train departs at 7:45 p.m.

Dec. 25 and Jan. 1

• The first train leaves at 6:30 a.m., while the last train departs at 9:10 p.m.

Taft Avenue Station

Dec. 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 23, 26, 27 and Jan. 2 and 3:

• The first train leaves at 5:41 a.m., while the last train departs at 10:11 p.m.

Dec. 21, 22, 28, 29, 30:

• The first train leaves at 5:37 a.m., while the last train departs at 10:11 p.m.

Dec. 24 and 31:

• The first train leaves at 5:37 a.m., while the last train departs at 8:42 p.m.

Dec. 25 and Jan. 1

• The first train leaves at 6:30 a.m., while the last train departs at 10:11 p.m.

While the LRT-1 will be following this schedule from December 11 to 31:

Roosevelt Station

• The first train leaves at 4:30 a.m. from Mondays to Sundays.
• The last train departs at 11:15 p.m. on Saturdays, and at 9:45 p.m. on Sundays.

Baclaran Station

• The first train leaves at 4:30 a.m. from Mondays to Sundays.
• The last train departs at 11 p.m. on Saturdays, and at 9:30 p.m. on Sundays.

Lastly, the LRT-2 announced it would have shorter operating hours on both Christmas Eve and New Years Eve due to the anticipated “significant decline” in ridership. It also allows station and security personnel to celebrate the holiday.

Cubao and Recto Stations:

Dec. 24:

• The last train departs at 8 p.m.

Dec 31:

• The last train departs at 7:30 p.m.
