Mouth-Watering Treats and Exciting Happenings at “Savor the Flavors Food Festival” Day 1

Too many delicacies, too little time.

When you are a Filipino food lover who’s eager to take food trips a notch higher, you may need to brave the terrible traffic, conquer mountains, and sail across seas to get to places and savor the flavors of the nation’s most sought after delicacies. Or maybe not. Especially if you know where to turn to.

With an event like Savor the Flavors Food Festival, you can have a taste of various Filipino delicacies without having to go to different parts of the country. The organizers, with the help of the exhibitors from various parts of the Philippines, have brought lots of mouth-watering treats at the Eastwood Mall Open Park.

No wonder, the first day of the event was jam-packed not just with foodies but also with casual diners fervent to satisfy their tastebuds. Attendees had a great time sampling delicacies from all over the country, including a wide assortment of pulutan, kakanin and sweets, pastries, exotic dishes, and local wines and beers. There were also lots of fruits and juices available during the food festival.

To make the experience more fun for everyone, the organizers also invited performers, such as Banda Kawayan and UP Singing Ambassadors. Traditional fiesta games, including basagan palayok and pabitin, and live lechon cooking were also among the highlights of the first day of the food fest.

The exhibit area, on the other hand, was more festive with Resort World Manila’s winning jeepney exhibit.
