Let’s face it, there are looks at the ABS-CBN Ball 2018 that are not our cup of tea. Though we can all agree that everyone put in the work for their gorgeous looks, there are some that made us think.
Here are some of the most controversial looks!

Pia Wurtzbach
This Queen always knows how to slay but there were many discussions online on what this look is all about. Though many of the netizens compared this look to J.Lo and to Sofia Vergara, some thought there were something wrong with her make-up- which accentuated her strong features.
Vice Ganda
Another look that was super controversial was Vice Ganda’s. Though we were all used to her crazy looks, this one is one of the more outrageous ones. Let’s start with the hairdo, being in a Catholic country, her Nazareno-inspired headpiece and curly hairstyle sparked conversations. But we all thought she pulled off the gown with her ‘trail for days’.
Liza Soberano
Let’s put it out there, Liza is gorgeous as is. But this look got us thinking- perfect for a magazine editorial but quite questionable for the red carpet. This Alexander McQueen creation is, of course, beautiful but maybe, the ball is not the place for it.
Kathryn Bernardo
Teen Queen Kathryn Bernardo came in a Jun Escario creation. Though the dress looked flawless, simple and classic, many thought Kathryn looked old and could’ve opted for a more “bongga” look.
Angel Locsin
Her style really evolved over the years but many had thought that this look aged her drastically. This Popo Go gown hugged her vavavoom figure but what do you think?
Julia Baretto
Sparkles are very in but Julia’s short skimpy dress sparked conversations because it wasn’t floor length and it bared too much skin. I think many netizens was expecting a sweet subtle look.
Ritz Azul
I can’t wrap my head around this look because there were so many points of improvement. Many netizens pointed out that the gown didn’t do anything for her body and the wig was just out of place and made her forehead look bigger.
Yeng Constantino
Pop-rock Princess Yeng is always in character, whether it be for her performances on TV or on the red carpet. Though the red gown is something out of the box, many said that she should have lost the glasses.
Iñigo Pascual
What a good looking guy, right? But his sneakers and body bag didn’t really make the look. His bag which we loved for a lesser dress-up event could’ve worked.
