The Philippine Air Force just received the first two of a dozenย FA-50 jets they acquired from South Korea’s Korean Aeropace Inc. (KAI).
AFP Chief of Staff General Hernando Iriberri and SND Voltaire Gazmin welcomed the newly-acquired jets in Clark Air Base, Angeles, Pampanga Saturdayย morning.
Ten more areย expectedย to arrive in the country to further strengthen our Philippine Air Force as part of the AFP Modernization Plan.
Here are more photos taken byย SN1 Donald Viluan PN (PAO AFP) that were posted on the Armed Forces of the Philippines’s Facebook page.
Apparently, these FA-50 jets that arrived are not weaponized and will be used mainly for training. There are plans to buy weaponry for these jets in the future.
How do you think these jets can improve our air force?
Those are darn expensive training jets if they won’t be used as “F/A” (Figher/Attack). If it’s going to be mainly for training, then the PAF should have bought the T-50 (trainer) instead.
