Moonstar88 and Imago take part in the grand Dubai Expo 2020 closing ceremonies last Thursday, March 31, 2022. With Moonstar88 and Imago at the Festival Garden concert was OPM Band Rivermaya while American icons Christina Aguilera, Norah Jones and DJ Tiësto performed at the Jubilee stage.
This is the first International performance of Moonstar88 and Imago after two years of the pandemic. In this unforgettable night, they performed some of their greatest hits that delighted all the Filipinos and non-Filipinos in the audience.
Expo 2020 is a World Expo celebrating the cultures and advancements of the world. Originally scheduled for October 20, 2020 to April 10, 2021, it was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite being postponed, organizers kept the name Expo 2020 for marketing and branding purposes. This year’s event is held in Dubai from October 1, 2021 – March 31, 2022. As part of this global celebration, the expo has many events highlighting music from around the world, and that includes OPM.
