“Fan Girl” became a trending topic for weeks since its online release for the annual film festival, particularly because of its story, its raunchy scenes, and the amazing acting of its lead stars Paulo Avelino and Charlie Dizon. It follows the story of a high school girl with a crazed obsession with an acclaimed actor who follows him home after a fan meet. There, she begins to discover his true self when the cameras aren’t rolling.

Though it earned mixed reviews from its audience, the movie, which was directed by Antoinette Jadaone, bagged multiple awards from the MMFF 2020 Gabi ng Parangal and at the recent 2021 Entertainment Editors’ Choice (EDDYs).

Some of their achievements other than Best Picture were Best Actress and Actor for both Paulo and Charlie, Best Director for Antoinette, Best Screenplay, Best Editing, and Best Sound.
