After weeks of completing challenges, the top 50 delegates of the Miss Universe Philippines beauty pageant will soon be narrowed down to the final 30 who will then be advancing to the next stage of the competition to vie for the coveted crown.
On Tuesday, August 24, the Miss Universe PH team explained to its fans and followers its selection process for the Top 30 candidates. According to them, the finalists will compose of 27 delegates who will be hand-picked by the Miss Universe PH panelists while the other three will be chosen based on the number of fan votes received.

“The basis for selection is ALL of their performances in the previous challenges and the upcoming Interview Challenge. It is based solely on performance and NOT on the Fan Votes. High fan votes in the previous challenges [don’t] guarantee placement,” the organization clarified.
“A group of panelists selected by the MUPh Organization will determine who makes The Final 30 based on their overall performances. They do not consider fan votes in their decision or scoring.”
The organization also said that selections are not biased towards fan favorites but that votes can definitely help a candidate secure a sure slot.
“Voting is completely voluntary and is not a requirement to advance to the next round. So it is possible for a delegate to make it into the Top 30 completely on her own merit,” they added. “All the delegates surely appreciate your support in whatever way or form you choose to give it.”
The Final 30 candidates will be revealed on August 31, 2021. They will then compete in the coronation night to be held on September 25, 2021.
