The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) has announced that the minimum fare for jeepneys is only Php7 in the National Capital Region (NCR), Central Luzon (Region 3), Southern Tagalog (Region 4) starting today. It will still cost Php1.50 per kilometre for the succeeding kilometres, though.
This voluntary price cut comes after the latest gas rollback in the Philippines. Here’s to hoping for price cuts with taxi rides in the near future, too!
