Owners Kim and Marou Gloria were both former bankers who decided to take the risk of opening their own restaurant out of their love for food and cooking. Being both Marikeños themselves, they addressed the local’s need for good comfort food and casual dining restaurants by opening their first Miguel & Maria branch in Lilac Street. Their vision is to bring the same experience that they usually have when dining at casual dining restaurants to Marikina at a fairly good price.

With the help of good friends, they were able to bring their vision and ideas into the dishes that they serve to their diners today. Since then, their chain of restaurants has become frequented by people from different parts of the Metro.

From their humble beginnings as a small restaurant along Lilac St., they decided to open their third branch of this casual dining gem along Gil Fernando Avenue in Marikina.

Apart from the hearty, comforting meals and homey ambiance, the Miguel & Maria chain of restaurants are also open to private functions and group reservations. Their other restaurant, Comedor by Miguel & Maria, offers Filipino food to give more food variety options at the budding food strip at Gil Fernando. They also have a live folk artist playing in Comedor every Friday night, making it a perfect place for dates or unwinding with friends.
