Metallica Bassist’s 12 Year Old Son is the New Bassist of Korn

Metallica Bassist's 12 Year Old Son is the New Bassist of Korn

What were you doing when you were 12 years old? Me, I was at home, reading Goosebumps and watching Hey! Arnold. But for Tye Trujillo, he will be joining Korn as the bassist for the South American leg of their world tour. What makes this story even more extraordinary is that he is the son of Robert Trujillo, Metallica’s bassist!

Korn announced the news on Facebook, saying that their bassist Reginald “Fieldy” Arvizu won’t be able to join the tour due to “unforeseen circumstances,” and that they will be joined by a “special guest.” Trujillo will join Korn in performances in Colombia, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, and Brazil, before Arvizu reclaims his spot in May for North America performances.

Of course, the young Trujillo is talented in his own right, and is the bassist for his band The Helmets.
