Tagaytay has been popular for quick getaways from Metro Manila. Aside from the breathtaking view of Taal Lake, Tagaytay has also been known as a home to awesome restaurants with great food. Because of this, Tagaytay has become a great spot for couples, families, and barkadas to relax and bond over good food. Allow me to share this restaurant that offers not only mouthwatering foods but also, a very cutesy ambiance, Memory Lane!
Name sounds familiar, right? It is because this restaurant is owned by Jolina Magdangal‘s family! That’s right! The place was named after one of the famous singer/actress’s hit album, On Memory Lane. Moreover that, this restaurant is a must-visit for the cutesy country home ambiance and the good food!
Check out the place!
A country home complete with a beautiful yard! They decorate their yard during Christmas, Halloween, and other special events. So cool!
The whole place is consistently themed even with the interior decorations!
They also used their family photos and vintage items to decorate the place.
They also have some quirky signage all over the place. Here’s my favorite one! A very efficient stress therapy!
Now let’s talk food. On their menu, they are mainly proud of their Tender Juicy Baby Back Ribs. And I can tell you, it surely is a dish to be proud of! The meat is so soft and well-seasoned! You will taste the flavor of the sauce explode in your mouth with every bite! It’s so good, it would be hard to share a serving that’s supposedly good for two. You should also try the Memory Lane Special Iced Tea, it’s not your average iced tea!

Now, here’s a new must-try dish in Tagaytay aside from bulalo — Memory Lane’s Special Sinigang na Lechon! Sounds weird, right? You wouldn’t think Sinigang and Lechon would complement each other but this dish is actually one of their bestsellers! When you try it, you will first taste the asim kick of Sinigang, then as you swallow, you will taste that savory flavor of Lechon. Two Filipino favorites in one dish! Sarap!

For our dessert, we tried their Prunes Pudding topped with Vanilla Ice Cream. Another unique serving only found in Memory Lane. The sourness of the prunes is well balanced with the sweetness of the vanilla ice cream! A yummy and healthy dessert!

Another dessert we tried is what they call American Halo-Halo. It’s actually inspired by a dessert Sir Jun Magdangal tried when he was in US. Filled with corn flakes, marshmallows, whip cream, and more — this dessert is another must-try if you enjoy cool and creamy desserts.
Memory Lane is also open for prenup and other photo/video shoots, they also have a space for private functions such as events, parties, etc. Memory Lane also has a convenient and spacious parking lot for their guests. So when in Tagaytay and looking for a new place to try, visit this restaurant and taste the goodness of the food, the warmth of the place, and take a trip down memory lane!
