Meet Ashley, 5 Years Old and Suffering from Epidermolysis Bullosa – Please Help!
When in Manila friends, meet Ashley – a five-year old kid suffering from a rare disease called epidermolysis bullosa.
Her skin is so fragile that it blisters so quickly creating wounds all over her body. I met her through my friend, Hanna, when we went to pray the novena one Wednesday morning at the Baclaran church. It’s so heartbreaking to see a little kid suffering, with these bandages all over her body preventing her to do what she wants.
Her grandma has been religiously bringing her to Baclaran church every Wednesday to hear the mass and pray for her to heal soon. We would often see her holding crayons and drawing books and sometimes, when she’s in the mood, waves at the people gathering around her to have a little chat. She shows people that she is strong despite her sickness and I admire her grandma for taking care of her.
Sadly, her doctors advised she could no longer take chemotherapy with her weak condition. And the saddest news is that she was diagnosed to have bone marrow cancer.
With this, we are encouraging you, kind-hearted fellows, to pray for her. Any form of help that she could also get would surely be appreciated. For now, she relies through herbal medications and her grandma really needs financial assistance to support her condition.
For those who often visit the Baclaran church on Wednesdays When in Manila, she and her grandma are there from around 10am to 11am. God is good. Ashley will be healed! Let’s help her the way we helped Jayvee.
