Maureen Wroblewitz Shares Self-Love Journey After Past Relationship

In a recent social media post, Maureen Wroblewitz opened up a bit about her past relationship.

The model/beauty queen jumped in on the “Flowers” trend on TikTok where she lip-synched the new Miley Cyrus song. The lyrics go, “Started to cry but then remembered I / I can buy myself flowers / Write my name in the sand / Talk to myself for hours…”

In the video, she wrote the phrase “when you finally learn how to prioritize yourself,” and then expounded it in the caption. “I’ve never really spoken about my past relationship, but this song really speaks to me,” she began. “That’s the thing about being in a public relationship, no one really knows what happens behind closed doors.”

“I have lost myself over the past few years and I’m finally realizing who I really am,” she revealed. Apparently, Wroblewitz experienced trauma from her past relationship but is now working towards healing. She continued, “I am working on myself and healing from past trauma because I don’t want to make the same mistakes.”

Without revealing too much information, she hoped to have the courage to inspire people someday by sharing her own story when the timing is right. “Maybe one day, I’ll be ready to speak about it because I know it could help a lot of people,” she ended the caption.

Many netizens cheered on her in the comments section as she journeyed toward self-love. Although, some of them just couldn’t help but involve Maureen’s ex “Buwan” singer Juan Karlos Labajo in the post. The “Asia’s Next Top Model” fifth-season winner did not steer clear of them. “No! Cheating is not the only reason couples decide to separate,” she clarified in one comment where she was asked if Labajo cheated on her.

In another, Wroblewitz emphasized that her post is not about who she was with, but how she is working on self-growth by learning from her past mistakes. “The focus of this Tiktok is not my ex but my personal experience! I’ve been dealing with mental breakdowns because of my past experience for 8 months,” she explained. “I gave so much of myself, I had nothing left. I’m still in the process of realizing all my past mistakes, red flags, etc., so I don’t bring it into my next relationship.”

“I am not perfect, I wasn’t either in my past relationship but I’m learning to be better every day. I am learning to prioritize my needs,” The Miss Universe Philippines 2021 1st runner-up admitted. “I wasn’t loved the way I wanted to be loved so I’m doing all that to myself right now. Self-care, self-love!”

The two reportedly started dating in 2017 and announced their breakup in June last year as they were both “so young,” according to Labajo. Wroblewitz, however, has confirmed that she “already has someone” in December.
