Do you remember that feeling you had when you first saw the trailer of The Avengers, the Marvel crossover movie that put together Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, Thor, Black Widow, Hawkeye, and Loki? It was a geek’s wet dream, and spawned a series of successful sequels. Now, the Marvel Cinematic Universe is turning to TV for its first crossover series, called The Defenders, and the first trailer is here!

The Defenders is a Netflix series that focuses on the Marvel superhero team of the same name, which features Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and the Iron Fist. All four of the members had their own Netflix series before coming together for this blockbuster show.
The Defenders is set after the second season of Daredevil and a month after what happened in Iron Fist, and sees the heroes coming together to defeat The Hand. Elektra from Daredevil will also be part of the cast.
The show will consist of eight episodes, and will premiere on August 18 on Netflix.
