MARCast 2022: Valuing Strategic Solutions Through Marketing Research Amidst Adversity

“MARCast 2022: Valuing Strategic Solutions Through Marketing Research Amidst Adversity” is a digital marketing research conference which aims to help attendees understand the relevance of Marketing Research amidst adversity and to present the outstanding white papers of Bedan Marketers to be participated by the 3rd Year Marketing students taking up Marketing Research (MARKRES) as well as students from 10 other invited schools. 

In order to create awareness about the upcoming MARCast 2022 and its social media channels, a separate pre-event program entitled “MARC your calendar!” was held on November 20, 2021 at 7:30-9:00 PM. This consisted of two segments: (1) an overview of white paper; and (2) a talk show with the past participants of MARCast 2021. The attendees of “MARC your calendar!” were expected to actively listen and converse with the past participants of MARCast 2021 as they talk about their experiences from the past MARCast event. They were also expected to show discipline, obedience, hospitality, humility, and be stewards to other attendees which made a significant impact on the success of the past MARCast event. Moreover, the goal of this pre-event was to formally introduce MARCast 2022 and its media channels. It was also conducted to increase awareness to Bedan students and different schools/organizations in the Philippines of the upcoming main event. The pre-event also helped build rapport among current and past generations of Bedan Marketers which aligned to the #17 Sustainable Development Goals: Partnerships for the Goals. “MARC your calendar!” did not only focus on providing an overview of white paper but helped Bedan Marketers understand the gist of the upcoming MARCast 2022.

And for the main event, the Department of Marketing Management together with the San Beda Junior Marketing Association (SBJMA) will be conducting a one-day virtual Marketing Research Conference on January 8, 2022, entitled “MARCast 2022: Valuing Strategic Solutions Through Marketing Research Amidst Adversity.” The students, professors, and speakers who will attend the MARCast 2022 are expected to participate in the conversation and listen attentively to comprehend new information about marketing in different industries and comply with the house rules to achieve a harmonious learning space for the attendees. They are also expected to be obedient, disciplined, hospitable, and humble to one another for a harmonious and enjoyable learning experience. The event will not just serve as a learning ground, but also an avenue for students to grow and prepare for the real corporate world and to practice stewardship to their fellow marketers. MARCast 2022 will consist of two segments: (1) resource speakers will discuss the relevance of Marketing Research amidst adversity from the corporate and client perspective and (2) the presentation of the ten outstanding white papers of the 3rd year Bedan Marketers with 10 reactors from invited schools. Moreover, the goal of this year’s MARCast is to showcase the outstanding white papers of Bedan Marketers which is aligned with the #4 Sustainable Development Goals: Quality Education. It is also conducted to appreciate the relevance of marketing research amidst adversity to achieve the 8th Sustainable Development Goal: Decent Work and Economic Growth and to continue MARC’s legacy through MARCast. With this event, we will be able to secure Partnerships for Future Goals, the 17th Sustainable Development Goal, as we build rapport with other schools. The event will not only focus on presenting the importance of marketing research today but will hone the skills of Bedan Marketers in creating business strategies through thorough market research.
