Mapúa Interior Design Class of 2025 Turns Over Project Sigla to Asilo de San Vicente de Paul

The Mapúa University Interior Design Exhibit Class of 2025 proudly marks the successful culmination of Project Sigla: A Mapúa Interior Design Exhibit — Class of 2025, following the official turnover ceremony held at the Asilo de San Vicente de Paul in Paco, Manila, on Friday, November 14, 2025.

Project Sigla stands as the class’ collective achievement in transforming interior spaces into environments that uplift, inspire, and support growth; a real-world application of design that uplifts and inspires. After months of planning, redesigning, coordination, and construction, the student designers officially turned over two fully renovated spaces to the organization: Sining, an Art Therapy Room, and Sikap, a Seminar Room designed to host learning sessions, workshops, and gatherings for the children and staff.

The Sining Room now functions as a colorful, expressive, creative haven designed to foster imagination, emotional release, and hands-on exploration through art forms that will help them relax. Meanwhile, the Sikap Room embodies flexibility, comfort, and functionality, serving as a dedicated space for seminars, discussions, and structured learning activities. Both spaces were shaped with careful attention to user needs, spatial flow, color psychology, and functional design.

During the turnover event, the students, faculty, families, partners, and members of the Asilo community gathered to celebrate the project’s completion and the shared vision that brought it to life. The moment highlighted the impact of student-led design initiatives and the strength of collaboration between academic institutions, industry partners, and community organizations.

As the event concluded, the Mapúa Interior Design Exhibit Class of 2025 expressed heartfelt gratitude to everyone who believed in the project and to the Asilo de San Vicente de Paul for welcoming their vision. The turnover marks not just the end of a project, but the beginning of new experiences for the children who will use the spaces every day.
