The Philippine capital is far from being the priciest city in the world.
Manila ranked 92nd out of 133 in the list of most expensive cities in the world, in the 2017 World Cost of Living survey by The Economist.
The city tied with Bandar Seri Begawan, the capital of Brunei and Athens, the capital of Greece.
The study bases its ranking on the price of at least 160 products and services in the world, such as food, drink, clothing, household supplies and personal care items.
Five Asian cities made it to the top 10 list, with Singapore topping the survey.
The 10 most expensive cities in the world are the following:

7. Geneva, Paris
9. New York, Copenhagen
The 10 least expensive cities, meanwhile are . Kiev, Bucharest and New Delhi (124th), Algiers Chennai and Mumbai (127th), and Karachi (130), Bangalore (131), Lagos (132) and Almaty (133).
