Manila International Book Fair Reimagined with an Online Event This November

The Manila International Book Fair (MIBF), the Biggest and Longest-Running Book and Publishing Fair in the Philippines, will be making a big shift as it becomes an online event for this year.

The current situation in the Philippines and other parts of the world has put a halt to all large-scale physical events, but the MIBF still want to continue bringing the complete experience to all bookworms in the country, as well as everyone from across the world, at the comfort of your homes.

This is why MIBF has been reimagined as the Manila International Online Book Fair, happening this November.

The MIBF Online will be an online book and publishing fair with a dedicated platform that will offer various interactive content, such as video streaming, discussion rooms, virtual exhibition and a whole lot more. They also plan to hold exclusive panel discussions, Q&As and seminars through virtual conference platforms that will definitely be must-attended events.

MIBF Online will also bring its well-known market space to the digital space with a dedicated e-commerce platform, where you can buy books and published materials at a click of a button, which will be sent directly to your door.

In addition, the event will also feature exciting activities for our e-attendees, as well as other surprises that you just cannot miss.

“The COVID-19 pandemic has thrown a major curveball at event organizers, not just in the Philippines but all around the world. We are disappointed that we cannot hold the Manila International Book Fair on its 41st year as usual, but we are up to the challenge of innovating MIBF and all other future events for the new normal.” said Primetrade Asia, Inc. President Irene Lloren.

“We completely understand that it will not feel the same as attending the physical MIBF, but we will strive to make this year’s online event as close to it as possible. And when you come back to our physical event, hopefully by next year, we will bring you an MIBF that is stronger and better than before,” Lloren added.

Manila International Online Book Fair will be a four-day online book and publishing festival, from November 24 to 30, 2020. Full details regarding the event, including schedule and activities, will be announced at a later date.
