According to a report by GMA Integrated Newsโ€™ Unang Balita, the local government of Barangay Addition Hills launched this program to combat the rising number of dengue cases in the area since 2025. It will officially begin on February 21.

The barangay has even set up an aquarium to store the collected mosquitoes and larvae.

The Quezon City government recently declared a dengue outbreak following 10 dengue-related deaths this year. It also reported 1,769 dengue cases from January 1 to February 14.

Meanwhile, on February 17, the Department of Health (DOH) noted that eight other local government units (LGUs) in Metro Manila, Calabarzon, and Central Luzon might also declare dengue outbreaks.

Stay safe, everyone!
