A 72-year-old British man is making headlines after doctors discovered that his false dentures, which the man claimed he’d been missing for over a week, were lodged deep inside his throat.

The man had undergone a minor surgery at the time. Doctors suspect that the dentures had fallen in while the man put to sleep.
Shortly after, the man returned to the hospital to complain about coughing up blood and having difficulty in swallowing. The first hospital he went to administered a chest X-Ray, reportedly found nothing and diagnosed him with pneumonia. It took him a visit to another hospital to find out what had really happened.

Lesson learned: always take out your dentures before surgery!
