MAKEUP Magazine’s The Grand Launch breathlessly unite Celebrities, Journalists, Bloggers and Makeup Brands for an exclusive event held in partnership with Early Breakfast Club, Century City Mall on February 28. The Managing Editor, Lizzie Oren, welcomed and thanked everyone as she paved way for the debut of latest cover girl, Jessy Mendiola, for the fifth issue of MAKEUP Magazine.
Aside from the latest release, the event was also a wonderful opportunity to unveil MAKEUP Magazine’s Editor-in-Chief, Kim Jones. Passionately sharing her vision, she intimated that ‘…we want women to look beyond the outward beauty and discover a very different, often hidden beauty and from there, enhance their physical beauty. We [also] want women to get to know the different talents from our local beauty industry and in doing so get a unique look into makeup from the experts.‘ She also thanked Patti Grandidge, one of the former cover girls, who honorably graced the event aside from other celebrity guests such as Rica Peralejo and Delamar Arias.
During the event, the Instagram Photo Collage Contest was also introduced. Beautiful guests gamely took creative snapshots of themselves as they posed with their MAKEUP Magazine and favorite Early Bird food setup. Warm Asparagus Salad, Ultimate Grilled Cheese with Roasted Tomato Soup, and the Yin and Yang Champorado, made of Belgian chocolates, were served as part of the delicious entrée. At the end of the event, four lucky winners of special prizes from major brand sponsors such as Asida, Vitress, Bioessence, Orly and Wet ‘n Wild were announced. Influential bloggers such as Yuki Tansengco, Kumiko Mae Yasuda, Christine Liwag and Phylicia Pineda won with the amazing output of their Instagram posts.
With Early Bird’s ‘All Day Beautiful Breakfast’ food styling and refreshingly charming interiors, it was the perfect epitome of MAKEUP Magazine’s The Grand Launch.
