Woodstock just turned fifty and the idea of that annual three-day celebration of peace, love and music in the Catskill Mountains in New York still never felt so old. Hundreds of thousands were in attendance then, all for the event’s spiritual alignment with the anti-war movement. And just like before, MUSIC UNITES!Â
Spearheaded by AdCamp, MAKE COLLAB NOT WAR, a concert tour, was launched October last year, in the aim to establish a collaboration amongst local venues, productions and artists from different parts of the country. And this year, they are bringing it back with more venues.
From Balanga City, Bataan to the cities of Metro Manila (Quezon City and BGC), Pagsanjan, Laguna in the South all the way to Baguio City, Cauayan City and Tuguegarao City in the North, up and coming, local independent musicians will once again share the stage to promote ‘bayanihan’ in the in the coolest possible way.Â
Bands like The MotherCampers (OPM/indie rock), Bread & Butter (alternative rock), Friends’ Fries (pop rock), Newearth Primates (prog metal/hardcore), Rezpike (thrash metal), Blood Shot Eyes (metal); solo acts such as Clay (indie/pop) and Alvin Mendoza (OPM/pop rock), and many more, are coming to these cities and towns to celebrate peace, love and music.
To watch out for their shows, you may check their Facebook pages: fb.com/adcampteam and fb.com/makecollabnotwar to keep you posted on the tour dates, event posters and live feeds.Â
