The feel was more like we were enveloped with sophistication. Supported by gigantic pillars of luxury and pleasure.

The Makati Shangri-La would definitely be one of the busiest hotels I’ve been to. It was like a city within a city with a lot of people roaming around. It was impressive on how the staff manages to still be so organized and how they could still provide deluxe service to every guest.

The Mighty High Tea Afternoon at Makati Shangri-La

Here’s another really cool date activity we discovered. Visit Makati Shangri-La’s Lobby Lounge and experience a one-of-a-kind afternoon adorned we teas, lavish pastries while serenaded with an orchestra. They offer it daily from 3-6pm. You may choose from 3 different sets ranging from P550-660++ (good for 2). We find it to be surprisingly affordable for such a lavish fare.

a magical date afternoon which felt like we were in one of the scenes in Titanic

We never thought we’d find such an oasis amidst Makati’s hustling streets. We felt so safe and protected against the stresses of life. In the thick of the concrete jungle that is Makati, there we were, comfortably seated in our sofa, sipping tea, occasionally munching on our edible delights, singing along to familiar tunes….. ahhhhh this is the life!

Even after 6pm we decided to stay a bit longer to listen to the Jazz performers.

After that magical relaxing afternoon, we decided to do some more relaxation by treating ourselves to a relaxing massage…

Good Morning Universe!

The Makati Shangri-La is not a hotel to just spend the night at or like the usual ones where you just enter, check-in, settle in your room then go. I would say the whole Makati Shangri-La “experience” was more of a grand gala of pleasure where every moment felt so thrilling, taking your breath away, leaving you at awe.

A majestic hotel with an aristocratic feel, a work force with an alphabet of talents, ambrosial edibles, a cloudburst of great amenities…. MAHVELOUS (with a million slow claps) is how I would sum it all up, as simply describing the whole Makati Shangri-La experience as “GREAT” isn’t enough and would be a lame term to use.
