You Can Now Take A Free Walking Tour of Makati and Its Heritage Sites

The Makati City government recently announced on their Facebook page the opportunity to get to know the city better through their free walking tours.

“A different site is featured every day to give Makati residents and tourists a chance to explore the city’s history, culture, and rich traditions,” they invited.

Different walking tours will focus on different aspects of the city. Below are their full offerings:

  • St. Alphonsus Mary de Liguori Church – Garden Way of the Cross – Tuesday 9:30 am
    • The stations of the cross feature masterpieces of prominent sculptors of contemporary Philippine art. Meeting point: Glorietta 2 (entrance)
  • Poblacion Walk Tour –  Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 4:00 pm 
    • Discover places where you can hang out, dine and unwind in our heritage district. Meeting point: Z Hostel
  • Central Business District – Wednesday, 2:00 pm 
    • Immerse in the hustle and bustle of the city as a guide walks you around the area and discover how this wonderful city emerged as the most prosperous city in the country. Meeting point: Glorietta 2 (entrance)
  • Poblacion Heritage Tour – Wednesday, 10:00 am 
    • Explore the downtown area of Makati and see the heritage sites hidden among the modern commercial establishments. Meeting point: Museo ng Makati
  • Central Business District – Thursday, Friday 10:100 am 
    • Immerse in the hustle and bustle of the city as a guide walks you around the area and discover how this wonderful city emerged as the most prosperous city in the country. Meeting point: Glorietta 2 (entrance)
  • Poblacion Heritage Tour – Friday, 10:00 am and 4:00 pm

  • Walkway Tour with Salcedo Market – Saturday 10:00 am 
    • Walk through the country’s longest elevated pedestrian walkway and end your tour in a community market where you can indulge in a vast array of local and international cuisine. Meeting point: Glorietta 2 (entrance)
