The Makati Government announced that they will be providing COVID-19 vaccines for it citizens.
According to Mayor Abby Binay, their number 1 priority is to take care of its citizens. “This is our number one priority for 2021. I want each and every Makatizen to receive both doses of the coronavirus vaccine for free to protect them and their families against the virus,”

The City Government of Makati has a budget of Php1,000,000 for the COVID-19 vaccine program. It is reported that they are coordinating with vaccine czar Carlito Galvez Jr. to get the vaccines needed. Mayor Abby Binay said they will be asking the city council to pass a supplemental budget once they get approval from the country’s pandemic task force.

“We will exhaust all means to get the much-needed vaccines early and have all Makatizens vaccinated. The city will also assist companies and businesses that would like to buy vaccines for their employees and workers. We are aiming for 100 percent vaccination in Makati,” she added.
As of writing Makati City has more than 10,000 COVID-19 cases from which more than 9,000 have recovered.
