Maine Mendoza slammed a netizen who claimed that the actress was a snob.
A Twitter user shared the now-deleted post from Facebook saying, “so nasa SG pala si Maine at may peklat na kumapit sa kanya na ang sabi eh disappointed daw siya kay Maine at suplada…” Nevertheless, she pointed out that the basher was able to take a picture with Mendoza which was publicly posted online. “Pero nakapag pa pic, pinost at pinublic pa,” she wrote.
Even though the content is now unavailable, the link preview reveals what was written. “Suplada pala sa personal itong Maine Mendoza na ‘to. So disappointed in you,” it read. It also showed the poster leaning very close to Maine as they smiled for the photo.
The GMA star did not let the tweet unnoticed and replied, “If I came off as “supladita” (as ate sales associate in Bath and Body Works Ngee Ann Mall have said to every Filipino inside the store, even to my friend) e dasurv nga naman, sana tinarayan ko na nga talaga. Bastos si SA and that group of girls. Bastos at makakapal ang mukha.”
Another Twitter user commented in relief, “Ayun naman pala!! Dasurv ni ate girl!!” From which Maine continued to explain, “Oh if you only know how disrespectful and entitled those ladies were, especially the sales associate, ay maloloka ka nalang talaga.”
Maine even stated that this was her “worst experience/interaction with kababayans abroad.”
