Madonna Reflects on Life After Hospitalization: “I realized how lucky I am to be alive”

Madonna took to social media to reflect on how her loved ones helped her recover a month after her hospitalization due to bacterial infection. She said the best medicine is love from family and friends, as she showcased photos with two of her six children, David Banda and Lourdes Leon.

“As a mother, you can really get caught up in the needs of your children and the seemingly endless giving. But when the chips were down my children really showed up for me. I saw a side to them I had never seen before. It made all the difference. So did the love and support from my friends,” she wrote.

“I sobbed when I opened this gift because I realized how lucky I am to be alive. And how fortunate I am to have known these people and so many others who are also gone. Thank you to all my angels who protected me and let me Stay to finish doing my work!” she concluded.

On July 24, Oseary announced that Madonna was admitted to the ICU due to serious bacterial infection. She is set to hold The Celebration Tour in North America and Europe in October 2023.
