The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) joined forces with mall operators to launch “Oplan Isnabero”, just in time for the holiday season to prevent and apprehend picky taxi drivers.
The agreement allows for complaint desks to be installed on taxi bays in malls, where commuters can easily report violations of overcharging, refusal to convey, and not giving the proper amount of change.
Other violations which passengers may report include the following:
- not wearing an identification card
- non-observance of safety rules while driving
- not reaching out to people with disabilities (PWD), pregnant women, and senior citizens
- improper usage of taxi meters
