Have any of you tried Grab Bike?
Looks like your enjoyment of this service will be cut short as the Land Transportation and Franchising Regulatory Board (LTFRB) is ordering the suspension of GrabBike, until the DOTC releases an official guideline for its operations, according to local reports.
According to reports, the LTFRB said that the accreditation granted to MYTAXI.PH, the transport network company operating GrabBike does not include the use of bikes or motorcycles as a mode of transportation.
The LTFRB was also reportedly concerned with the safety concerns surrounding bikes and motorcycles as a means of transporting passengers.
MYTAXI.PH was ordered to suspend its motorcycle service for strict compliance, otherwise, the company may lose its accreditation status if they do not cease operation of GrabBike within 5 days after receiving the letter from LTFRB.
The LTFRB also ordered the company to explain why they were offering GrabBike to the public without being authorized yet by the LTFRB to do so.
