The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board or LTRB has confirmed that the complaints against abusive and rude public transport drivers went up by a whopping 43 percent last 2015.
According to Interaksyon.com news report, the LTFRBโs public assistance and complaints desk showed 4,855 of the total 8,683 complaints lodged in 2014. Unfortunately, all complaints were all against taxi drivers. Moreover, the figures also include the complaints received from its 24/7 hotline โ1342โ and reports shared on social media.

This year alone, we’ve already written a total of three (3) rude taxi complaints, all shared by concerned Netizens!
In addition, the total of complaints against the abusive public transport went up by 26.3%. In fact, out of 9,372, 6,944 were taxi drivers.

As quoted in the article, the LTRFB board member Ariel Inton confirmed that social media have played a huge role in gathering these complaints. Notwithstanding, the agency hotline (1342). Furthermore, they wanted to be more proactive now.
