Louis Tomlinson opened up about his feelings about One Direction’s hiatus

Fans went crazy after insanely popular boy band One Direction announced that they were going on a hiatus. Yet 18 months after the group’s break, fans have so much to look forward to as the boys are completely killing it with their solo careers. Each of them has released their own solo efforts, and Louis Tomlinson is the latest to do so.

Louis Tomlinson

Louis debuted his single “Just Hold On” back in December and did a collab with Steve Aoki this March. But unlike his bandmates who are dating supermodels and otherwise living a high-profile life, Louis has been quieter about his affairs. So when he opened up with The Guardian in a raw interview, it’s hard not to get your heart broken by the things he had to say!

One Direction is Reportedly Breaking Up

For starters, Louis thought he was the least favorite 1D member, and his feelings about it are heartwrenching:

“You know I didn’t sing a single solo on the X Factor. A lot of people can take the piss out of that. But when you actually think about how that feels, standing on stage every single week, thinking: ‘What have I really done to contribute here? Sing a lower harmony that you can’t really hear in the mix?’”

Louis also talked about how he had only really begun to find his footing before the band’s hiatus, admitting that he initially did not support the idea of a break:

“In the last year of One Direction I was probably the most confident I ever was. And then it was: ‘OK, hiatus!’ It wasn’t necessarily a nice conversation. I could see where it was going.”

Hang in there, Louis!
