Lorde entered the music scene with her single “Royals” from the album Pure Heroine, and we fell in love with her rich vocals and clever songwriting. Now, she’s back with her second album Melodrama, and she just performed the second single “Perfect Places” on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. As always, it was perfection.

Lorde is a 20 year old singer from New Zealand, who was dubbed by TIME as one of the most influential teenagers in the world in 2013. She has two Grammy Awards, one Brit Award, and 10 New Zealand Music Awards. Her breakout hit “Royals” made the singer the youngest solo artist to get a US number one single on the Billboard Hot 100 since 1987.
Her second album Melodrama was released last week to critical acclaim. According to Slant, “it’s cathartic, dramatic, and everything else you could want an album titled Melodrama to be.” The first single is “Green Light.”
