The thought of a fun, substantial romantic comedy with an all-Asian cast still gets me reeling even after a month has passed since the release of Crazy Rich Asians. Finally, a movie exists where Asians are on the spotlight. But other than the characters, the glitz and glam of Singapore was showcased as well, and if you’re like me who’s disappointed they’re not part of the cast, you can relive some of the important scenes of Rachel Chu’s epic love story by visiting the locations where they shot:

10. Changi Airport

“I can’t believe this airport has a butterfly garden, and a movie theater. JFK only has salmonella and despair.”
– Rachel Chu
Just that line alone encapsulates perfectly how extravagant the rest of the locations are in Singapore. Their airport, Changi Airport, is hailed as the best in the world.
9. Newton Food Center
As Nick explains to Rachel, Newton Food Center is a place where dishes have been perfected for generations and is one of the few places in the world where “street” food earn their Michelin stars. It is a great place to drink beer and eat exotic, but delicious pulutan.

8. Chijmes
Colin and Araminta’s wedding felt so surreal, like a scene right out of a fairy tale. The butterflies, the water, and the high-ceiling church made everyone in the theater sigh and wish for a wedding like that.
Well, though the wedding may be far from reality, visiting the Chijmes where the wedding took place and admiring it up close may be enough to satisfy your fantasies.

7. Padang

Although it wasn’t shown in the film, Astrid’s husband Micheal fondly recalled playing football in the open field of Padang. It is also surrounded by several historical landmarks, such as the Esplanade, Victoria Theater, and the National Gallery which was recommended by Fiona Xie (who plays Kitty Pong) to visit when in Singapore.
5. Bukit Pasoh Road
This was the place where Rachel confided to her true friend, Peik Lin, who helped boost her confidence in a fun, humorous way. Bukit Pasoh Road, in reality, is described as the “hipster area” with its line of colorful shophouses and heritage buildings. Perfect for that IG-worthy shot of your Singapore trip.

4. Merlion Park

One simply cannot visit Singapore without paying homage to the official mascot of Singapore. One cannot capture the essence of Singapore, or step foot the famous Lion City, without admiring this mythical creature.
3. Esplanade

The proposal that lead to heartbreak. This is the spot where Nick (with all good intentions) proposed to Rachel Chu, and where she painfully declined. Though a heartbreaking scene, the Esplanade is a lovely location that oversees a river and the Anderson Bridge.
It’s the perfect place to admire the city, while having a picnic with friends.
2. Marina Bay Sands
This was where the fabulous engagement party of Nick and Rachel took place, and where synchronized swimmers seemed like the normal thing to have when celebrating your engagement to one of the richest men in Asia.
For guests of the Marina, visiting this world-famous tourist spots is free, but non-guests will have to pay S$23 per person to see the observation deck and the infinity pool, which has a marvelous view of the Singapore skyline.

1. Gardens by the Bay
It will be hard to forget those iconic supertrees that highlighted the party vibes at Colin and Araminta’s wedding reception. Gardens by the Bay, which is where these supertrees can be found, is also a hotspot for tourists.
Just look at how pretty! So don’t forget to put this in your itinerary once you visit the city.
