LOOK: This ramen chain now has a ramen robot to minimize contact

In an effort to keep things contactless due to the ongoing pandemic, Japanese ramen chain Korakuen has decided to create their own little ramen robot to keep things safe and hygienic! The little bot, named Unit K-1, is designed to take food from the kitchen to the table using AI and built-in sensors in order to safely navigate the restaurant without bumping into anyone or spilling any food. It’s so cute! Customers use a tablet to choose their orders which is then relayed to the kitchen and, once cooked and ready, is loaded onto Unit K-1 to deliver to the hungry customer.

Unit K-1 also speaks! So he’s not just a little bot rolling about the restaurant. He instructs you on how to retrieve your food and how to send him back to the kitchen by hovering your hand over the light on his head which will give him a signal to return to the kitchen and deliver even more ramen. Adorable!
