LOOK: This mall has foot pedals instead of buttons for elevators

Malls seem to be re-opening in Bangkok, Thailand and one that has recently re-opened, Seacon Square, is taking new measures to help in the COVID-19 fight.

One of the mall’s health safety measures is switching from using buttons to foot pedals in its elevators.

Hopefully, this change can help reduce the probability of spreading the new coronavirus.

Seacon Square shared about this in a Twitter post.

They wrote:

Rough translation: Easy and worry-free! Use the lifts at “Seacon Square Srinakarin” simply by using the foot pedal one time. The pedals are located in front of the lift. You can select up or down and then step on the floor to choose to go straight away. It’s convenient, safe, and no need to touch using your hands!
