Beloved nine-piece folk-pop band Ben&Ben had just been nominated for an international music award and we can’t help but freak out about it with them!
The band announced this amazing surprise on Twitter on Tuesday, October 6, where they revealed that they are in the running to win the Best Southeast Asia Act for the 2020 MTV European Music Awards (EMAs).
They shared that fans can vote for them from now until November 3 on MTV’s official website.
“Hello! Nominated tayo bilang BEST SOUTHEAST ASIA ACT sa MTV EMA 2020. Pangarap talaga naming umabot tayo at yung music ng Ben&Ben sa iba’t ibang part ng mundo at super makakatulong itong once-in-a-lifetime opportunity if mapanalunan natin to,” they said.
(“Hello! We have been nominated for BEST SOUTHEAST ASIA ACT at the MTV EMA 2020. It’s been a dream for us and our music to reach other places across the world and this one-in-a-lifetime opportunity will really help if we win this.”)
They will be vying for the title against Indonesia’s Agnes Mo, Singapore’s Benjamin Kheng, Malaysia’s K-Clique, Thailand’s Violette Wautier, and Vietnam’s Jack.
