This is NOT a photograph of EDSA.
It is NOTÂ something taken using a smartphone and then slapped with a filter.
But it is an amazing picture, actually an excellent work of art.
And looking at it, you can feel the humidity, and sadly, inhale the pollution.
Erwin Mallari created this on a 22 x 30 inches using watercolor of paper.
He titled it with “Waiting for the Bus on a Rainy Saturday”.
Erwin told WhenInManila.com that he is a street photography hobbyist (film and digital). Moreover, he just paints what his eyes and his camera lens sees using watercolor as medium.
He added that this painting is a view “along EDSA Ortigas Station Northbound”.
Last 2014, Mallari had an exhibit with a theme of “Urbanscape”. He is working on another series in “Ifugao”.
