One hidden gem that you might want to visit soon is Brew., a newly-opened cafe that’s inside a carwash in Marikina. If you’re looking for cafes in unique locations, this is definitely one that’s worth checking out.

Brew. was an idea that popped into the heads of four cousins after being repeatedly “kicked out” of their favorite wine place. Due to dine-in restrictions, many cafes and restaurants had to limit the customers’ time in their establishments.

Shelby Martin, one of the owners of Brew., shares that they thought of starting their own cafe instead, just so that they can enjoy their wine nights for as long as they wanted. Just after a few weeks since that idea, they opened Brew. to the public.

Brew. is a quaint IG-worthy cafe hidden inside a carwash with al fresco seating options available. The actual cafe has a stylish minimalist vibe and two cute wooden swings hanging from the ceiling—that spot is definitely worth a selfie.

It may be quite small, but it’s really just supposed to be where you place your order and wait if you want some air-conditioning. The seats outside offer a more chill and laidback vibe that won’t even make you feel like you’re inside a carwash!

The cafe’s location is actually quite strategic because you can have your car cleaned while enjoying their food items. If your main destination is the carwash, then you can enjoy a drink or two while waiting for your car. A trip to Brew. instantly hits two birds with one stone.

The real highlight of Brew. is actually their menu. They offer quality coffee drinks that were curated by the owners themselves; from the type of beans, the roasting of the beans, and up to the actual coffee recipe. Jia Andres, one of the owners, says that this is one of the biggest things that set them apart from other homegrown cafes.

Many of their customers have commented that their coffee is a lot better than others that are even more expensive. It’s also so obvious that each cup of their coffee is worth every peso. So, if you’re a certified coffee lover, you’ll surely enjoy your time here.

Aside from coffee, they also offer original cocktails when the clock strikes 4. Their Frosé (or frozen rosé) is such a refreshing drink—perfect to enjoy while you feel the cool breeze sitting in their al fresco dining area.

Of course, what’s a great cup of coffee or a delicious cocktail without a savory snack on the side? Brew. also offers three types of fresh and handcrafted pizzas which are all insanely good.

You can be sure about the freshness of these pizzas because you can even watch them assemble the toppings on their fresh dough before they’re popped in the oven. It does entail a bit of a wait to ensure great quality, but every second is worth it. Their pizzas are so tasty and flavorful, it’s no surprise that a lot of people have come back for more even after just a week from their opening.

If you’re not up to eat outdoors, they also offer delivery and pick-up options so that you can enjoy their pizza and drinks even in the comforts of your home.

We just love how Brew. is instantly a triple threat with their quality coffee, handcrafted pizzas, and deliciously refreshing cocktails. There may be a lot of hidden al fresco cafes popping up all over Metro Manila, but we can confidently say that Brew. is worth a visit.
