When people lose their phones, they usually lose hope in finding them and never get them back. Lucky forย Oliver Ranola, though, his faith in humanity has been restored after he got his S6 Edge Plus back almost a month after he lost it.
Oliver shares that he lost his phone last June 23. His phone had a fingerprint lock and his battery was at 4% when he lost it, so when heย tried to call hisย number, the phone died after 5 to 10 rings.
“Nawalan na ako ng pag asa kasi di nila maoopen phone para macontact nila ako at iniisip ko rin na baka wala microsim slot yung phone nila para iinsert sim ko to contact me,” he shares. 1 week after the incident, Oliver says he moved on.
“Wala eh. Sabi ko sa sarili ko, Kung para sayo, sayo.”
Oliver adds that he actually lost all hope because the conversation he had with the taxi driver was that the driver didn’t want to drive anymore because he wasn’t making enough money.ย “Well, yun yung usap namin habang natraffic kami sa C5. Iniisip ko baka mas kelangan ni kuya yun. So I let go. :)”
However,ย Oliver’sย wife accidentally called Oliver’s old number and a woman picked up.ย It turns out they had been waiting for them to call.ย “Dinulog na rin daw nila kay Tulfo yung phone ko kay โช#โtulfoโฌ pero di tinanggap kasi naka lock daw phone.”
Because of this kind gesture, Oliver asked us to post his story to thankย Sir Romulo De Asis, Jr. for returning his phone. “Maraming salamat po,” Oliver says.ย “Kokonti na lang po ang mga tulad nyo na may magandang loob at di nag iinteres sa mga bagay na napulot o di kanila. I salute you, sir.” And we salute you, too, Sir Romulo! ๐ We need more kind-hearted souls like you in the world.
