LOOK: This eatery is letting evacuees eat for free

Taal Volcano erupting forced hundreds of people to evacuate their homes in order to safeguard their health and protection. Homes were left behind, possessions abandoned, and lives were changed. It wasn’t the most ideal of ways to spend the first month of the new year and left many devastated.

Luckily, stories of good samaritans popped up left and right, providing some light and heart at a much-needed time.

The Castillos, a family that owns an eatery in Batangas, has opened its doors to evacuees and is providing free food for those who had to leave behind their homes. They gave out hot meals, water, soft drinks, etc.

“Free food to all evacuees!!” Angel Castillo wrote in her Facebook post. “Malapit lang po sa kanto ng manghinao ?Feel free to come po! ? Salamat din po sa mga nagbigay ng tulong mapapera, raw meat, softdrinks and water ?God Bless us all.”

Faith in humanity: Restored.
