Inspired by their quirkiness and funny faces, Jana Paradero, a 21-year-old digital artist from Cavite, makes amazing digital portraits of pets in all shapes and sizes. It all began during one fateful evening when one of her sister’s dog, Hany, was asking her for some midnight snack. Fueled with hyper creativity, her first digital pet portrait was born.
Living with her sister and her eight dogs, she has access to a number of muses for her portraits. Her sister loves to take photos of her pets whenever they are in the most unflattering poses and doing their funny faces. Jana takes these photos and turns them into cartoon versions but still keeping the aesthetic true to its form. “Classy yet fun”, she says.
She also shared that she learns something new whenever she gets challenged with each portrait that she does since every pet is unique. She is enjoying every bit of the art-making process while honing her craft. She is also interested in learning other medium.
Jana finished Art Education but she decided to pursue higher studies to hone her craft. She also dabbles in manual T-shirt printing, dressmaking, calligraphy, and digital photo manipulation.

“Hi ma and dad, I am getting featured in WheninManila.com!”, Janna said. With both her parents being abroad, she hopes that they will be happy to see that her little page is getting its spotlight.
