LOOK: These Newborn Babies were Given Mini Face Shields for Protection Against COVID-19

Yes, they’re super cute… but the main point is that hospitals in Thailand are giving newborn babies plastic face shields to ensure that they are protected against COVID-19. Pictured below are nurses at Praram 9 Hospital holding masked babies, though other hospitals in Thailand are reported to be doing the same, including a hospital in Samut Prakarn.

So far, we haven’t seen any other babies around the world with face shields to protect them from the virus, but we’re thinking it would be a good measure to start doing. Since COVID-19 escalated earlier this year, Thailand has had a total of 2,518 positive cases and 35 deaths.
