One of the popular hobbies that people developed during the quarantine is taking care of plants. Suddenly, more people are filling up their space with all sorts of plants, from small and cute cacti to towering ferns. Whether you’re a budding plantito/plantita or you’ve been doing it for years, here’s something to add to your collection: these cute macrame plant holders from Abubot!

Abubot started as a quarantine hobby for Karen, whose father is an interior designer. His recent DIY projects inspired her to make a room divider, but she can’t do that much woodwork so she shifted her attention to ropes. She did a little research and came across macrame.

According to Karen, “I am also very happy to see people making space for plants inside their homes! The earth does need more greens and seeing plant-filled corners, vertical gardens, and plants being hung wherever they can be hung is great.”

Macrame is an art form where the crafter uses ropes and knots to make all sorts of decor. Abubot’s works can hold plants and be hung from a hook on the wall, adding a chic and bohemian vibe to the place. What’s fun about it is that it can be hung anywhere, and is a valuable piece for aspiring plantitos and plantitas with limited space.

As you can see from the photos, Abubot’s pieces are well-made. That’s because Karen personally cuts the pieces of wood for the wall hangings and dyes the ropes. Aside from ready-made plant holders, Abubot can collaborate with you. You can send photos and Karen puts the elements together to make a unique piece of art. She can also make mood boards so clients can choose the elements they like.

Check out more of their works and order by sending Abubot a message on their Facebook and Instagram pages!
