Annually, La Trinidad, Benguet celebrates Strawberry Festival. They are known as the country’s strawberry capital hence, the celebration.
On Sunday, one of the highlights of their celebration is the display of a giant strawberry cake. The massive strawberry cake is 1.5 meters high and 2.4 meters long. It weighs about 2.5 tons. The best part? It is edible and can serve up to 16,000 slices.
This isn’t the first time La Trinidad served up a giant strawberry cake.
In 2004, they earned a Guinness World Record for the “largest fruit shortcake in the world” with a 9.6-ton strawberry cake.
