LOOK: The wild roams free and takes over UP Campus

In Metro Manila, we’re still in general community quarantine (GCQ), which means that certain quarantine measures remain in place albeit a bit looser than before. As the number of COVID-19 cases continues to rise, the government urges everyone to practice safety measures such as staying at home, observing proper social distancing, washing hands frequently, and wearing face masks.

Along with this, schools remain close although some have already implemented remote learning measures of some sort.

With this, it seems that the wild has roamed free, and for this instance, it has taken over the campus of the University of the Philippines (UP).

“Heard about wildlife roaming cities due to the quarantine,” The Wild wrote on Facebook. “Well, this is our version of animals taking over the campus.”

The post came with a photo of what they call UP’s resident flock of sheep who seem to be chilling in a jeepney waiting area.

“We don’t think they are waiting for transportation though,” The Wild quipped.

“The sheep are being taken care of by the College as part of the grounds maintenance team. Their task of keeping the grass low has never been more important than now, when our two-legged staff can’t come to work,” The Wild continued with the post.
