It’s almost time to bring out those campus shirts and school spirit yet again. The 80th season of the UAAP will be happening this September, and it seems like the competing teams will be looking a bit more familiar this season–for the cheer dance competition, at least.
It has been confirmed through Twitter that the UP Pep Squad will be returning to compete in the cheer dance competition for this season. The news was tweeted by the update-account of the UAAP Cheerdance Competition.

They first teased the team’s return with a cryptic tweet and then confirmed the rumors three days later.

The UP Pep Squad opted out of the competition in the last season due to their failure to reach a resolution with the competition’s organizers. The team has been one of the highlights of the competition for many years now, with eight titles already under their belt.
