If you grew up watching The Addams Family, you will surely love this: the creepy, kooky, mysterious, and spooky family will be back on the big screen with a new animated movie, coming out this year!
The film will be called The Addams Family Halloween and will be directed by Greg Tiernan and Conrad Vernon, who directed Sausage Party. It will closely follow the classic New Yorker cartoons that introduced the family to the world. According to Vernon, “With that in mind, I drew from the brilliantly original Charles Addams New Yorker cartoons for the look of the film and decided to tell the story of how Gomez and Morticia meet, find their house and start their family.”
The upcoming film will star Oscar Isaac as Gomez, Chloe Grace Moretz as Wednesday, Charlize Theron as Morticia, Finn Wolfhard as Pugsley, Allison Janney as Margaux Needler, Nick Kroll as Uncle Fester, Elsie Fisher as Parker Needler, Aimee Garcia as Denise, Bette Midler as Grandmama, and Scott Underwood as Mitch.
The Addams Family previously appeared in three movies, titled The Addams Family, Addams Family Values, and Addams Family Reunion. They have also appeared in an animated series in 1992.
The new film will premiere on October 11, 2019.
