Thai princess, Sirivannavari Nariratana, visited the Philippines recently unannounced.
The Thai royalty made her way to Cebu to spend time with the whale sharks in Barangay Tan-awan, Oslob.
They tried to make her unannounced visit as discreet as possible however the tight security in the said barangay gave away that a VIP was in town. The Thai princess’s goal was to swim with the whale sharks in their natural habitat.
According to a post from the Philippine Daily Inquirer, PO2 Jun Emar Jerusalem told them, “only a few tourists and residents knew about her visit because some of them were curious why there were many policemen present in the area.”
The Thai princess and her entourage arrived in Cebu at 5:45 pm on Friday. Then, she swam with the whale sharks at 8 AM the next day and also at 10 AM. They left at 2 PM of that same day.
